Show ANOTHER VICIOUS BULLDOGAT LARGE One of the most painful if not serl-"iis serl-"iis wounds that could be Inflicted by a dog was received by Roy Lock-wood Lock-wood yesterday alternoon when he was attacked by a vicious bulldog belonging be-longing to a Chinese peddler. The animal sank Us fangs into the man's face, tearing tho lips so badly that it required eight stitches to close the wounds. The dog was lying under the ped dler's wagon near tno Intersection of Grant avenue and Twenty-fifth slreeL Lockwood told the police that he approached ap-proached the whrou and leaned against a tiee. Without the slightest warning the bulldog leaned from beneath be-neath the wagon and jumped upon him. He tried to escape but tho dog succeeded in tearing the man's face with Its teeth. An attempt was m.ade bv Officer Orcn Hadlock to shoot the nnlmal but It succeeded in evading the bullets and was pursued bj the officer as far as the Ogdon river Lockwoods injury in-jury was dressed by a physician and no serious results are expected. |
