Tho story of the play Is that of Richard and Frances Fran-ces "Ward. He Is a prosperous stock broker of working, saving and home-loving home-loving instincts she is a butterfly to whom a new gown, or a new motor car are the matters of Importance. By humoring her extravagant whims, Ward brings himself to the 'brink of ruin. Sovere retrenchment is necessary neces-sary With his eyes opened to his fooilsh course he prepares to' make the necessary sacrifices and demands them of his wife. She borrows money and by so doing she earns the distrust of her husband.
