MLI lb I 1 As a result of the floods and washouts wash-outs in the, Calicnte district tho Salt Lake Route line lo the coast Is still out of commission and traffic and freight aro being routed over tho Southern Pacific to California points. Just when tho road will be In shapo for buslnoss again Is uncertain, though officials of the road claim they will bo able to operate through trains by Sunday. According to Information received here tho washouts are all west of Calicnte nnd some of them are 300 feet hi length. Several temporary bridges, bulltt after tho washout of a year ago, hnvo been carried out. The storm has ceased, however, and in consequence the floods aro abating. Because or tills the officials believe they will be ablo to get the road In operating shajlo within a few days. The force ot men employed on the high-line has been switched to the old lino and Is working to repair the damage dam-age done bv tho flood. Announcement is made that the high lino will bo completed by March 1. on
