He explained that the program pro-gram is expanding so rapidly that the committee feels formation of another pack will be justified. Professor x H. B. Hunsaker, chairman of the senior scout basketball program, announced that all districts were carrying out successful programs. "It is evident that the senior scout program has been stimulated this year by the basketball program," he declared, "as many of the boys have worked hard to maintain eligibility to play." The newly-appointed executive committee of the Cache Valley Boy Scout council authorized appointment ap-pointment of a full-time field executive ex-ecutive for Wyoming districts, discussed plans for a merit badge "pow wow'' and approved drafting draft-ing of a tentative budget for the year, at their first meeting in Logan Sunday, Rex M. Ingersoll,' chairman of the publicity com-mittee, com-mittee, reported today. The group approved the request made by Peter D. Rosendale of Rock Springs, Wyo., to appoint a full time field executive to live and work in the Wyoming area included in the local council. The appointment will be made, Executive Ex-ecutive Preston W. Pond said, with the understanding that the Wyoming districts raise their contribution to the total council budget to help defray cost and added expenses. Authorization to draw up a tentative budget for 1944 was granted N. D. Salisbury, chairman chair-man of the finance committee. The budget is expected to be somewhat larger than the $9100 approved and carried . out last year. A drive for funds will be conducted during the spring months. Alvin Hess of Logan, chairman of the advancement committee, was named to make arrangements for a two or three day merit badge "pow wow" to be conducted at Utah State Agricultural college |
