Show Cache Exceeds E Bond Quota Cache was one of 24 Utah counties coun-ties to exceed their E bond quota during the Fourth war loan drive, Charles L. Smith, Utah war finance fin-ance committee chairman, reported today. Federal reserve bank compilations compila-tions as of February 26 showed that Cache county had achieved 136 per cent of their quota. Highest High-est in the state was little Daggett county, whose bond buyers skyrocketed sky-rocketed their percentage to 662 of their quota. Total sales of E bonds in the state had reached $14,053,321 when the compilation was made, Mr. Smith said. Utah ran from 8 to 10 per cent ahead of the national E bond sales average during the drive. He pointed out that the E bond truly is the people's bond and the people should take just pride in their accomplishment. The importance impor-tance of going over the top is partly measured by Uie fact that this is the first time Utah has done so, and partly because they jt ore perhaps the most anti-inflationary type of bond the U. S. Treasury issues. |
