Show Cache Welfare Expenses Drop Cache county welfare expenditures expendi-tures for the month of October declined $740 from the $35,963 expended ex-pended in October, 1943 while 51 fewer cases received assistance, according ac-cording to a monthly report released re-leased Monday by Noble L. Chambers, Cham-bers, department director. Old age assistance required an expenditure of $27,038 compared with $27,866 in October, 1943, his report showed. Other expenditures with 1944 figures listed first follow: fol-low: blind, $190 and $223; aid to dependent children, $3808 and $3,-786; $3,-786; general expenses, $2636 and $2534; administration, $1553 and $1550. A total of 819 eases were listed on the county rolls October 1, this year compared with 870 cases for the same month last year. During the past month eight cases were added, two transferred and 20 closed, leaving 805 on the rolls Nov. 1. Total expenditures for the period, per-iod, 1944, follows: old age, $273,538; blind, $1909; aid to dependent children, $42,311; general $24,792; and administration, . $15,605. |
