Show Three Stakes Announce Quarterly Conferences Three stakes, Logan, Hyrum and Smithfield, will hold . quarterly conferences Saturday and Sunday according to word from stake presidents. Clifford Young, assistant to the Council of the Twelve, will represent general authorities at Smith-field Smith-field stake conference, according to President W. Hazen Hillyard. First session will be held Saturday at 8 p.m. for all priesthood workers. .The welfare meeting will be conducted Sunday at 9 a.m. General sessions have been scheduled at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. with a Relief Society conference at 8 p.m., concluding the activities. Levi Edgar Young, president of the First Council of Seventy and Fenno B. Casto, member of the welfare wel-fare committee, will represent general authoritis at Logan conferences to be held in the tabernacle. First meeting for welfare workers, will be held at 9 a.m. in the stake house and a priesthood conference confer-ence will convene at 3:30 p.m.' in the Eleventh ward hall in the basement' of the tabernacle. All members holding the priesthood are invited and all Seventies especially are urged to attend to receive special instructions in-structions from President Young. General sessiosn will be held at 10:30 a. m. and 2 p. m. in the tabernacle. Music will be' presented by the Second ward choir under direction of Mrs. Laura Shumway. A special Relief Society stake leadership meeting for all stake and ward Relief Society officers and class leaders will be .held at 3:30 p. m. Sunday in the stake house. Hyrum Stake Quarterly Conference will be held in the Hyrum Third ward chapel under direction of President Edwin - Clawson. Samuel O. Bennion, member of the First Council of Seventy, and Stewart Stew-art B. Eccles of the Welfare department, will represent repre-sent the general church authorities. First session at 9 a. m. will be for all members of Jihe priesthood. A good attendance is desired. The Welfare conference will be held at 4 p. m. Gneral sessions will be conducted at 10 a. m. and 2 p. m. The Hyrum Second ward choir, under direction of A. J. Petersen, will provide music for the conference meetings. 1 The concluding meeting at 8 p. m. will be under direction of the M. I. A., with Counselor Dewey Nielsen in charge. Harold Hansen, a member of the South Cache Seminary, will be principal speaker. 1 ..Special musical numbers will be presented by Ray Leishman and Betty Jones of Wellsville and Margo Sorenson of Hyrum. |
