Show i Total stocks of all kinds of fats and oils on hand as of Aug. 1st were about 700,000,000 pounds more than those of a year earlier, but this will be more than offset by lowered production this year. Production of edible and inedible ined-ible fats and oils in the United States for 1944-45 is' estimated at 10,000,000,000 pounds, compared with the record output of 11,300,-000,000 11,300,-000,000 pounds in 1943-44 and 10,- i 700,000,000 pounds in 1942-43. Butter consumption -in the last half of 1944 may reach the lowest low-est per capita level in over half a century because of limited supplies. sup-plies.
