Show Cache Soldier At Bushnell Master Sergeant Wade Howell, son of Mrs. J. W. Matk-in, Hyde Park, is receiving treatment at Bushnell General hospital, Brigham City, for wounds sustained in an air raid on the Ploesti oil fields April 4th. Sergeant Howell, who was wounded on his 40th mission as gunner of a heavy bomber, participated par-ticipated in bombing the Monte Cassino monastery in Italy and went through most of the African, Sicilian and Italian campaigns. He was wounded in the right leg by flak, was treated at base hospitals and then transported by plane to Bushnell. He has been in the service since 1942 and went overseas in September 1943. |
