Show : j Smithfield Boys Win Sear's Scholarship Three Cache valley high school students, . all from North Cache, are among the 20 vocational agricultural ag-ricultural graduates' of Utah high schools who will register at USAC this fall on $100 Sears Roebuck and company scholarships, R. H. Walker, dean of the school of agriculture has announced. Unable to chose between Calvin John Weeks and Will Wallace Ballard, both of Smithfield, the committee making the awards, voted to divide the $100 equally between the two students. Paul Kent Wiser of Lewiston was the other winner. The 20 students were selected by a special college scholarship and awards committee in cooperation I with Sears Roebuck and company representatives. During their freshman fresh-man year, they will compete for a $200 sophomore award given to the freshman with the highest scholarship schol-arship record and participation In school activities. |
