Show WMC Grants Hike In Wage Rates The action of the Regional office of-fice of the Regional War Labor Board in Denver, March 18, of adopting a resolution raising the sub-standard industrial wage level from 40c to 50c per hour, will become be-come effective for employment stabilization purposes May 10, the War Manpower Commission announced an-nounced today. 'In accordance with established Var manpower commission policy, workers in essential or locally needed activities who receive less than the newly fixed minimum after May 10 will be entitled to statements of availability," said Joseph Jo-seph S. Mayer, State Director of the War Manpower Commission for Utah. In a letter to James F. Jordan, manager of the local USES office of the War Manpower Commission, Mr. Joseph S. Mayer, said the statements of availability will be given to such under-scale employees employ-ees upon their request after May 10, unless the employer has made application to the National War Labor Board for adjustment of wages to at least the sub-standard level. "Tile NWLB action in raisins; the sub-standard wage level from 40c to 50c in Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Ida-ho, Wyoming, and Montana was in line with the national policy of maintaining in time of war a minimum level of efficiency among all workers," 'Mr. Joseph S.
