Show Thanksgiving Day. Thursday last, being thanksgiving day there was no school, and the children attending the district schools with the aid of'the teachers prepared a thanksgiving thanksgiv-ing service of their own. At 3 o'clock p. m.the children assembled in tfce upper school room of the eity hall where a banquet fit for kings and queens awaited them. There large tables were heavily laden with delicacies and good substantial eatables. Ezra Christiansen offered up the thanksgiving prayer, at tho conclusion of which all present pitched" iuto the good things with vim and vigor that was a caution to djspep-tlcs. djspep-tlcs. The cooking that is, the greater part of it. was done by the children themselves. In the evening the young folkj prepared to go to the south ward hall, where a dance was to be giver. The young folks entered into the spirit of the evening and we daresay they had more real honest enjoyment in a minute than the average person has in a week.
