Show OUTSIDE THE PALE The report that LaFollette will be "outlawed" as a Republican in the formation of the Senate committees will undoubtedly meet with party approval ap-proval throughout the country. He has not only been the leader of an organized opposition to the Republican Republi-can party, but has been guilty of the rankest misrepresentation of the party and its condidates. Under hi; former standing as a Republican, notwithstanding his utter failure to act with the party, he has held committee com-mittee appointments as a Republican Republi-can though standing in opposition to all party interests. That ho should now be permitted to usurp important import-ant cimmittee appointments to the detriment of loyal Republican Senators, Sen-ators, available to discharge the duties, is unthinkable to- Republicans Republi-cans who have been compelled to hear and read his tirades against the party that made bim. He has read himself out. Let him glory in his diame. - |
