Show LIONS CLUB HOLDS REGULAR SESSION WEDNESDAY NIGHT The Milford Lions club held a very-important, very-important, interesting and profitable meeting last Wednesday, with Pres- - idont Cline in the chair. It was decided to make an attempt to get a United States weather station sta-tion located here, with a paid full time weather observer. The matter was placed in the hands of the president, pres-ident, Lion Sam Cline and the chairman chair-man of the agricultural committee. Lion Knuison. The question of a community Christmas ree was brought up by A'. Cine, and the club agreed to get behind be-hind such a proposition and to ask all other organizations in making it a success. Lion Rodger, who has been on a visit to southern California, told of his trip, especially in regard to his -attendance at the Hollywood Lions Club dinner. He also brought back and displayed literature, blotters etc. which are given by that club to all visitors. The Agricultural committee has arranged for a meeting to be held at .he Union Pacific depot Thursday evening, December 4, at which farmers farm-ers and farm demonstrators will be Invited. Ladies' night The next meeting which should! come Wednesday noon November 26, has been changed to Wednesday evening at 8:15 and the ladies will be invited. There will be s. short program, followed by a dance ' School matters came up for a live ly discussion, which was followed by ;he appointment of a committee to go before the school board and' request re-quest a thorough investigation at once of school matters here. |
