Show a m imo i,om:r remembers j An article appearing in the Sau I Antonio, Tex., Light gives an inter-! inter-! esting story of a man, S. Learning, j who once traveled over northern New Mexico, doing piano tuning. Mr. Learning is now in Pennsylvania, but he has not forgotten two burros with which he traveled many miles when these long-eared, faithful little lit-tle animals stood by him, month after month. He has been away from New Mexico for four years, and the burros have been in San Antonio, An-tonio, where they have been cared for and fed by the eleven dollars per month which Mr. Learning has sent for their custody. He values these burros at three dollars each, but it is not their financial worth that he considers. He thinks of the loyalty they showed in the long and weary travel which the trio made. He is planning to come to New Mexico Mex-ico this winter, and take, the burros out on his, farm. He cannot let them go after the long association. Taos Valley News. |
