Show CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT NO. 3 Proposing to Amend Section 9, of Article VI, of tfie Constitution of Utah, Relating to Compensation Compen-sation of the Members of the Legislature A joint resolution proposing an amendment to Section 9, of Article VI, of the Constitution of the State of I'tah relating to compensation of the members of the legislature. Be it enacted by the Legislature of the iState of Utah, two-thirds of the members elected to each of the two houses concurring therein : Section 1. It is proposed to amend Section 9, Article VI, of the constitution constitu-tion of the State of Utah so that the same will read as follows : Sec. 9. The members of the legislature legis-lature shall receive such per diem and mileage as the legislature may provide, pro-vide, not exceeding eight dollars per day, and ten cents per mile for the distance necessarily traveled going to and returning from the placo of meeting meet-ing on the mtst usual route, and they shall receive no other pay or perquisite. per-quisite. Sec. 2. The secretary of state is hereby directed to submit this proposed propos-ed amendment to the electors of the state at the next general election in the manner provided by law. Sec. 3. If adopted by the electors of the state this amendment shall take effect January 1, 1923. Approved March 17, 1921. |
