Show , KESLER HOME DAMAGED Fire was discovered Tuesday at 11:40 in the roof of Clark Kesler's home in the southwest part of the city. The alarm was sounded, and soon help arrived. Some trouble was experienced in getting at the fire, as it was between the roof and the ceiling. Many hands soon carried out the furniture and soon a hole was cut in the roof, through which a stream of water was turned on the blaze which was extinguished ex-tinguished after having practically ruined' the ceiling and the roof. Apparently Ap-parently the fire started in the roof over the coal room, but how it started is a mystery. Mrs Kesler and one of the children chil-dren were at home. The other children chil-dren were in school and Mr. Kesler was in Parowan on business. Mrs. Kesler was getting dinner on the kitchen range, and a few minutes before the alarm was sounded she thought she smellod smoke, tint con cluded! that the stove was smoking a little, and thought no more about it for a few minutes. The damage to the house is osf-mated osf-mated at about $750 and about $15n to the furniture. Mr. Kesler carried a small Insurance Insur-ance just how much was not learned. |
