Show Prune Shippers Face Car Shortage Washington. Prune shippers from Idaho this fall will be heavily curtailed curtail-ed because of the inability of the railroads rail-roads to provide sufficient cars to move the' crop. Senator Gooding took up with the interstate commerce commission com-mission the appeal of the prune shippers ship-pers for 100 cars a day during the shipping season. The commission told the senator that because of tVie condition of the carriers and the difficulty dif-ficulty in getting and In moving cars, they believed it would be Impossible to supply Idaho with even half the number of cars needed to handle the prune crop, although every effort would be made, by priority orders and otherwise,, to help relieve the situa tion. |
