Show Locals and Personals Mrs. R. E. Parsons spent Saturday and Sunday in Beaver with her mother, Mrs. F. C. Harris. Mrs. J. Jeffers will entertain the G. I. A. ladies at her home Thursday evening. Mrs. C. C Edwards just returned from Lehi, from a short visit with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Blanpied made a quick trip to Salt Lake Thursday, returning Saturday morning. Kaminska and family have moved from their ranch for the winter, so that their children can attend the public schools... Miss Reba Korns returned Sunday from Beaver, where she has been the guest 'of Miss Vie Cartwright for a few days. Mrs'. Al. Kirk and son', Billy, returned, re-turned, Sunday, from Provo, where she has been visiting her sister, Mrs Alvin Twitchell. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Levi, of Bea-er Bea-er have moved here to make their home. They are occupying the Bow-en Bow-en home on North Main. Edward Fernley, of Beaver, is spending a few days here with his sons, George and William Fernley and families. Katherine and Irene Munford!. of Cedar, have come to spend' the winter win-ter here with their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. George Litchfield. Mr. and Mrs. Richard May and sons. Edward and Joe, of Eureka, are visiting for a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Wm Martin and other relatives of this city. The following were over from Minersville to attend the funeral services ser-vices of Mrs. Francis Hardy Tuesday, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Hardy and Mr. and Mrs. George Davis. Miss Virginia Nichols returned on' Tuesday morning from Midvale, where she has been spending a few weeks visiting her grandmother. Mrs Charles Nichols. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Steenboeh and son. C-!on, spent Monday at Puffer's lake. They were accompanied by Mrs Ella Ernst. This was the first trip to the lake and all were much impressed im-pressed by the beauty of the scenery through the canvon and around the lake. Mr. and Mrs..D. M. Jones of Salt take, have moved here from Salt Iake. Mr. Jonos will take Jack Haymond's place as dispatcher for the Union Pacific railway. They are living in Xo. 5. railroad row. Mr and Mrs. Chas. Xowhart and daughter, Avennell and Mr. and Mrs. George Fernley and daughter. Ran-ar, Ran-ar, spent Sunday in Fillmore with Mr. X'owhart's uncle and aunt. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Anderson. Mr, and Mrs. Garratt Wilkin, of Salt Lake City, arrived in Milford on Saturday evening n route to Sal; Lake City. Ray Casterline passed through Milford Tuesday, returning home to Lynndyl. He has been with his brother, Floyd. He says that Floyd will be out of the hospital in a couple cou-ple of weeks, but will not be able to resume his work for several months Mrs. Adelia Davey, of Frisco, was in town Wednesday on business. She says school opened at Frisco Monday morning with an enrollment of sixteen six-teen scholars. Teacher, German Workman, of Delta. There are sixteen six-teen men working at the Horn Silver mine. Mrs. Ezra Barton, of Beaver, spent Wednesday here with her sister, Mrs Abe Fotheringham. She came over with her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ashworth, of Lund, who were returning to their home, after spending a week at Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. J. Blumberg and children, returned Sunday afternoon from Los Angeles, California, where they have been spending their month vacation. Both are looking well and happy. Mr Blumberg says everything looks bright audi prosperous In Southern Sou-thern California. A. W. Clyde, manager of the Mountain Moun-tain States Telephone and Telegraph company, at Nephi, and son Lawrence, Lawren-ce, made a short call at the News office of-fice Wednesday morning, enroute to Two Peaks, Nevada. They spent Tues day night at Beaver, where they left Mrs. Clyde and daughter to visit old friends until their return Friday. Mr. Clyde was formerly manager of the exchange here and at Beaver 1 " Wm Wilson, of Winnemucca, who 'as been here for 'be past week visiting visit-ing his brotherinlaw Mr. O. C. Lw-is. Lw-is. left Wednesday morning. Mr. Wilson Wil-son has been spending two' months in Kansas and Missouri, after an absence ab-sence of nearly twenty-five years He was very much impressed with 'Milford 'Mil-ford and the farming country surrounding sur-rounding our city. He says, without any exception, it is the best proposition proposi-tion he has seen since he left his home in Nevada. Mr. Wilson is a cattle man and has lived in the state of Nevada for nearly twenty years. Mr. and Mrs. George Litchfield have just completed additions and alterations al-terations on their home to the extent ex-tent of $1500. They now have one of the most comfortable places In town on one of the most desirable lots. |
