Lird returned Saturday evening from Salt Lake City, where they attended conference of the L. D. S. church. Miss Ethel Day entertained Miss Mary Wagner and Miss Louise Reach at Sunday dinner at the home of Mrs A. C. Nebeker. Mrs. Jane Martin, of Greenville, is here helping care for her niece. Mrs. Joe Murdock, who is very ill with pneumonia. Chesty Dorrity and Miss Gillins. of Beaver, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Bradfield, Friday evening, ev-ening, after which they attended the Baseball dance at the opera house. Mrs. Anna Bentley of Parowan, spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sherwood, on her way to New-house, New-house, to cook for the sheep-shearers at the Morris ranch. Mrs. Stan Tattersall, who has been spending a few days in Beaver, with her parents, Mr. and1 Mrs. Wm.' Hurst returned home Monday afternoon. Mjiles Hunter and eleven other young men of Cedar City, passed through Milford Tuesday on their way to shear sheep for Walter James at Black Rock. H. Erickson of Salt Lake City were in our city this week. Mrs. Ben J. Martin of Los Angeles Angel-es is located in Milford for a short period. W. D. Petty and. W. R. Weedon, of Salt Lake City, spent Monday night in, Milford. Chas. Wattles, R. E. Stovall and C. W. Yoeum, of Evanston, Wyoming, Wyom-ing, are in Milford and will locate in this vicinity permanently. Mr. F. Huniell, representing Day-les-Beebe Music company of Lake, was with us on Sunday and Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gleason were made very happy Tuesday evening. pril 8, when a little daughter came o live at their home. All concerned are doing nicely. Miss Vera White of Beaver is spending a few weeks at the home "f her sister, Mrs. James Patterson, of Reed. Miss Louise James of Salt Lake City, who has been visiting her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Ed. Lucas, for a few days, returned to her home at Salt Lake City Sunday evening. Mrs. Ed. Lucas entertained Friday evening of last week in honor of her lister, Miss Louise James of Salt Lake City. The evening was spent with games and music. Refreshments vere served. Mrs. Don M. Coon and1 little son are spending a few days with her narents, Mr. and Mrs. WTm. Hardy, -t Salt Lake City. Mrs. George Frenley will leave on Thursday morning for a visit with relatives and friends at Beaver., Mr. Paul Ludwig, of the Milford Shoe shop returned Saturday of last week, from Salt Lake, where he went to meet his brother, Robert Ludwig, of Evansville. Indiana, a missionary of the L. D. S. church, who had come to Salt Lake for treatment at the L. D. S. hospital. Word has just been received here of the death of Allie Sherwood in Pocatella, Idaho, on Sunday, April 3, She was a sister of Robert and Jack Sherwood of this city, and was herself, her-self, a. resident of Milford for many years. Interment was made at Pocatella Poca-tella on Friday, April S. Miss Idona White entertained on Saturday evening at her home in hon or of Miss Louise James of Salt Lake City. Refreshments were served to the following: LaPreil Clements, Miss Louise James, guest of honor, Ardath Johnson, Ernest Bohn, Haskell Has-kell Earl. Marion Tanner, Nathan Smith. Music and games were enjoyed en-joyed dmring the evening. A large crowd attended the baseball base-ball team dance given at the opera house. Friday evening. Members of the team had previously handsomely handsome-ly decorated the hall with streamers of black and white crepe paper and sporting goods. Delicious refreshments refresh-ments were served by the Beehive girls. Mr. Harry Lochree: and his mother Mrs. G. H. Fennemore of Beaver, motored mo-tored over here Monday morning with their daughter and sister, Mrs. I. (in Austin, of Los Angeles, California, Califor-nia, who has been spending a couple of woks with them in Beaver. Mrs. Austin left on train No. 10 for Salt Lake City, where she will make her home. They were also accompanied by Mr. Clarence Booth, formerly of here. They returned home Monday evening. |
