Show MRS ORWIN ENTERTAINS Mrs. Phil Orwin entertained Thurs day evening of last week with a surprise sur-prise party in honor of her husband's hus-band's forty-third birthday anniversary. anniver-sary. Mr. Orwin had gone to the picture pic-ture show and the following appeared appear-ed on the screen: "You are wanted at home." He thought some one was ill and hurried home, when to his dismay, on entering the living room, found a large number of his friends and neighbors. , It then dawned on him what was happening, and gladly welcomed them. , The evening was spent pUaylng Five Hundred. There were five tables tab-les at the play, and a most delightful delight-ful evening was spent. Ladies first prize was won by Mrs. Raines, and Karl S. Carlton won gent's first prize. Mr. and Mrs. Abe Fotheringham, Who are making a collection of "booby" prizes, won" the consolation prizes. A delicious three course luncheon was served at 12 o'clock p. m, by the hostess, assisted by her daughter,1 daugh-ter,1 Mercy, Miss Ella Johnon, Miss Frances Sloan and Miss Lillian Stoker. Stok-er. A short musical program was giv en after the lunch: Miss Ella Johnson sang several selections, assisted on the piano, by Miss Orwin. "A saxaphone solo by Mi'-'.s Stoker, accompanied by Miss-Orwin. Several piano selections were rendered ren-dered by Miss Orwin. Mr. Orwin received a number of nice preents from his friends and relatives, rel-atives, among which was a large birthday cake, handsomely decorated from his cousin, Mrs. Geo. Goodwin, of Beaver.
