Show TOWN BOARD HOLDS SESSION Present at the meeting Ed. Mark sheffel, C. T. Martin, D. A. Baxter, and C. J. Mclntire. Abent P. J Evans Minutes of the last meeting were read and upon a motion duly seconded second-ed and carried, were approved and signed by the President of the Board Mr. B. B. Brewster of the Sullivan Machinery company, explained results of his findings in cleaning the Town well and gave his ideas of what would be needed in order to use air lift. Board voted him thanks. Martin Reisner appeared before the Board with a complaint on stray cattle in town. He was promised the support of the board in enforcing the ordinance. Mrs. A. J. Atkin, and Mrs. John with reference to sidewalks in front of the Christian Science church. Wanted to know if there was to be a gravel day, and demanded that the street taken in by 1st Avenue be graded. They were promised that the next street work done would Include In-clude work on 1st Avenue. Petitions also asked that a street light be placed on 1st Avenue and McKeon corner. They were promised that the matter would be considered. Mr. E. Foutz asked the board whether or not the Town would at this time purchase a certain lot on "th Avenue, owned by him for stre purposes. He asked ?350 tor the property. He was told that it was impossible for the Town to undertake under-take any further purchase of property proper-ty at this time, but that if the residents res-idents affected by this particular property were willing in any way to aid the Town, they would be met half way. Mr. J. L. Griffiths next appeared and asked for information on water main extensions. He was informed that there was nothing contemplated at this time. Action was deferred until the next regular meeting. A resolution calling for bids on the proposed sidewalk extension in District No. 3 was passed and approved' ap-proved' and a copy of the same is hereby made a part of these minutes and filed in the regular minute book. It was moved and seconded that all school property be withdrawn from the assessment rolls In District No. 3. Motion carried. It was regularly moved and sec-anded sec-anded that the specifications submitted: sub-mitted: by Engineer Wm. Brewster on the proposed sidewalk extension be accepted. Motion carried. Mr. D. A. Baxter introduced the following motion "That the bid of the Heuser Packard company on the Sewer work, be accepted on the following fol-lowing terms; that no agreement will be signed by the Town of Milford ,un til such time as the warrants covering cover-ing the cost of the improvement can be sold at a price which in the estimation es-timation of the Board of Trustees is fair and just to the people affected; that the pipe used in the construi-tion construi-tion of the Sewer must be Pacific Sewer Pipe company product or its equal." Motion was seconded by Mr. C. T. Martin, and carried. Vote showed show-ed three for and none against. Clerk was instructed to advise the contractors, Messrs Heuser and Packard that the Town would install in-stall 72-10 inch Y's at points to be designated by the Town -engineer, and the difference in cost to be assessed as-sessed against the town.
