Show MILFORD COPPER IN DIVIDEND CLASS Within "the next thirty or for- ty days it is more than likely that the Milford Copper com- pany will enter the dividend paying class. At an informal.. meeting of the directors of the comany held on Wednesday the question of declaring a five per cent dividend was discussed and favorable consideration given the matter as it was said that the company's earnings war- ranted such distribution. Temporary shortage of man power which is felt all over the country, articularly in the min- ing region, has prevented an in- creased output, in fact would have enabled the company to more than double its production of the past few months as the physical condition of the prop- erty was never better. At the meeting of the directorate this week the question of relieving this situation was also discuss- ed and active steps will be ta- ken to increase the output thereby insuring larger earn- ings. The purchase of a new mine which was recently offered to the company is in the course of active negotiation. The object in considering any question of . this sort is because the direct- ors believe the potentialities of the company warrant a policy of expansion, especially in view of the extraordinarily favorable terms by which the new proper- ty may be acquired.
