Show SCHOOL BONDS CARRY THERE was little interest taken in the school bond election Tuesday. In Milford there were only 18 votes cast, 9 for bonds and 9 against bonds. Such a lack of inte?'est in matters of such importance does not speak well for the alertness and enterprise "of a community. If there was any good reason why the bonds should not carry, if the borrowing of $130,000 for twenty years' and mortgaging your homes and ranches to pay for the loan with interest inter-est at five per cent is a measure worth while, whatever your sentiments in the matter, Mr. or Mrs. Taxpayer, you should have registered your vote in the case. It is now too late to "kick" if you don't like it. You had your chance to vote. In Milford there is need of better school facilities in the grade school. In fact, there is no doubt but that every item called, for is necessary and the amount called for will be inadequate to provide proper school facilities for this rapidly growing county for more than a few years. n |
