' j ARTESIAN WELL ON HENRY BOWEN'S PLACE The success of the few pioneers in water development by the. well and pumping plant method in this valley is causing many farmers on dry homesteads to think. They are al30 figuring. The result-will undoubtedly undoubt-edly be that there will be a lot of "well drilling done in this valley the coming year. We herewith print a picture of th'e flowing well completed two weeks since on the Henry Bowen place three miles north of Milford. The well is only 241 feet in depth and flows over the top of the 4-inch casing at the rate of forty to fifty gallons per minute. We predict that this country will have a rush of settlers in the next few years. There has been a lot of bad advertising given to this section of the Beehive State, but the truth will out and capital will loosen up for this State before many months. With the only ground floor State of the Union knocking at the door for recognition, California capital is singularly diffident about seizing the opportunity at her feet. Utah is a State of cheap lands, infinite in-finite mineral wealth and the greatest great-est home market to be found on the continent today. |
