Show HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT BODY ..- IS INCREASING The final year of high school work will probably be given at the Mil-ford Mil-ford high school this year. Several students have enrolled this week and more are expected on next Monday. If this work is introduced it will be of tremendous significance. It will mean that upon completion of the courses offered right here in Milford a student will be admitted without question to any college. The high school authorities are making every effort to offer' a splendid variety varie-ty of courses and according to the statement of the superintendent of Millard county schools, who passed through here last week, the list of electives is larger than in any high school of the same size In the state. While the crisis seems to have been forestalled as far as the enrollment en-rollment is concerned this year yet there is room to accommodate a great many more students and it is to be hoped that every one who possibly pos-sibly can will take advantage of the splendid equipment and faculty at our own institution on the hill. The principal of the high school is pleased to announce that arrangements arrange-ments have been completed for men's and ladies' gymnasium and swimming swim-ming classes at the school. The men's class will be given, on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30. The fee to cover theexpense of heating, lighting and janitor service will be 75c per month if less than twenty take the work, and 50c if the class goes over twenty in enrollment. Mr. Davis will have charge. The ladies' class will be given on Monday evenings. even-ings. Miss Street or Mrs. McAlister will have charge and the same fees will prevail. Applications for the course will be received by Mr. Wells at the high school, or by Mr. Davis. The high school Boosters' Dance will be given Friday evening in the high school gymnasium, and a large and enthusiastic crowd is expected. Mr. McAlister has been given charge of the arrangements for this party and reports that it is sure to be a success. It is the purpose of the principal and faculty at the high school to have a dance or other open entertainment enter-tainment each week in order that the townspeople may get into the habit of going up the hill at least every Friday night. This will enable everyone every-one to get acquainted with the school activities and will help to bind the community and the Bchool closely together. |
