With Guy Kib-bee Kib-bee as an oily stock-swindler, and Florence Rice as the girl fr whom Brown and his rival, Vinton Ha-worth, Ha-worth, battle throughout, the pic- ' ture offers a wealth of thrills and laughs. The serial and a comedy also will be shown. Thursday The equality cf women gets better than an even break in "My Dear Miss Aldrich," the amusing ' comedy which Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer provides at the Firmage theatre Thursday. With Edna May Oliver, Maureen O'SuIlivan and Walter Pidgeon topping a first-rate first-rate cast, this picture ranks as one of the better laugh films of the age. It tells the story of a school teacher who inherits a newspaper. The managing editor, ' strong in the belief that no woman is fitted for work beyond the home, attempts to block her at every turn until, -of course, he falls in love with her. Three comedies come-dies also will be shown. |
