Show u Range Conditions Are Good In Most of State The present range condition in Utah is better than last year and considerably over the ten-year, 1927-36, average, Frank Andrews, senior state agricultural statistician, statisti-cian, said in his range outlook report re-port released this week. In ah features of the range and livestock set-up conditions this year are better than for the median period, Mr. Andrews said. Ranges in the northern part of the state are in excellent conditon this year, the report showed. An abundance of water has been noted, and the late fall range will be fully utilized. The central part of the state is suffering from a shortage of rainfall, rain-fall, the report indicates. A light precipitation,, however, will keep ranges in that area in excellent condition for the late fall grazing. Weather conditions in the eastern east-ern part of Utah have been ideal for range growth, and cattle in that part of the state are in excellent excel-lent shape. Precipitation has been abundant, and grazing should go on for some time yet. Only in the southern Utah area has the range suffered from the weather conditions. Here a marked mark-ed drouth has been noted, but eat-1 tie have remained: in excellent shape despite the adverse weatheu.
