Show . 1 1 CHRISTIANSCIENCE "God the Preserver of Man" is the subject of the lessop-sermon at the Sunday service of the Christian Science Society in Milford Mil-ford June 16. Among the citations from the Bible is the following: "Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways" (Psalms 91:9-11). Included as a correlative is the following definition, with a passage, pass-age, from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "Angels. God's thoughts passing to man; spiritual intuitions, pure and perfect; per-fect; the inspiration of goodness, pui-ity, and immortality, counteracting counter-acting all evil, sensuality, and mortality (p. 581). The history of Christianity furnishes sublime proofs of the supporting influence and protecting power bestowed on man by his heavenly Father, omnipotent Mind, who gives man faith and understanding whereby to defend himself, not only from temptation, but from bodily suffering" suf-fering" (p. 387). : M |
