Cottrell, who had been attending Occidental college at Los Angeles, was to receive his B. A. degree from that institution. institu-tion. ' The Milford Boy Scout organization organi-zation had been divided into two troops, A. A. Hillary as Scout-! master of troop 1 and Earl Johnson John-son as Scoutmaster of Troop 2.' A building consisting of two rooms and a lot large enough forj play grounds and a tennis court,! directly west of the Charles Hoi-' lis home had been offered by La-1 Mar Outzen . for Scout head-' quarters. I Little Jane Hanks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Hanks, had been the winner of a gold medal awarded at the Los Angeles j Eisteddfod contest for piano play-i ing of students under eight years I of age. The Hanks family had j just recently moved to Los Angeles An-geles where Jane could pursue her musical education. Miss Olive Johnson had been pleasantly surprised at her home by 19 of her friends. Miss Merle Pitchforth, a graduate grad-uate from the Milford high school with the class '22, was being grad-j uated from the University of Utah, j Miss Pitchforth was to receive a bachelors degree in art with a' major in history, and was to teach I in Salt Lake City the coming! year. j Howard Gospill, a spring graduate gradu-ate from the Utah Agricultural college at Logan, was working on ( the Gospill ranch. I Mrs. Fred Levi and daughters, J Phyllis and Dorothy, had gone to Provo to attend the graduation j exercises of Miss Louise Levi,! eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. j Fred Levi. Miss Lila Stanley, who had been: teaching at Ogden, had returned to her home in South Milford Mrs. Antone Johnson and Mrs. Maurice Johnson had given a surprise sur-prise party to celebrate the birthday birth-day of Mrs. William Fernley. The guests were Mrs. D. A. Baxter, Mrs. M. Pool, Mrs. James Boyter, Mrs. Hugh Cartwright and Miss Ardath Johnson. ! Mrs. Joe Smith had entertain-j entertain-j ed the P. H. C. club and a few , invited guests. "500" was played with Mrs. George Moore winning the high club prize, Mrs. M. P. Lewis the high guest prize and Mrs. Gene Kirk the consolation prize. The invited guests; were Mrs. Gene Pitchforth, Mrs. J. H: Weston, Miss Lila Stanley, Mrs. Fay Hickman, Mrs. M. P. Lewis and Mrs. Jennie Smith. Mrs. Steve Karris had entertained enter-tained the D. D. S. club. Those present were Mrs. Merrill Edwards, Ed-wards, Mrs. Maurice Johnson, Mrs. Walter Griffiths, Mrs. Ross Lang and Mrs. Jack McCann. Mrs. J. R. Murdock was hostess host-ess to members of the Saturday Bridge club. Lunch was served at 4:30 to the following: Mrs. William Wil-liam Fernley, Mrs. Hugh Chans-lor, Chans-lor, Mrs. P. J.
