Show Two In Hospital As Wreck Result The result of a near-fatal automobile auto-mobile accident near Frisco late Monday night in which four employes em-ployes of sheep outfits located in that vicinity were involved, Jack Talbot of Parguitch and Ralph Robinson of Circleville are in the Milford hospital with broken and dislocated hips, respectively, not to mention bad cuts and bruises. Ned Dodds of Panguitch, another passenger in the car, and Orlando Wrigley of Monroe, the driver, escaped with minor injuries in-juries when the car crashed into a bank alongside the road, almost completely demolishing the machine. ma-chine. The accident appears to have been the sequel to a rather riotous day in town in which young Wrigley Wrig-ley and his car had been involved. Reckless driving in and near town, including the wrecking of a section sec-tion of fence in the vicinity of the hospital, convinced J. D. Ryan, state highway maintenance patrolman, patrol-man, and L. G. Clay, deputy sheriff, sher-iff, that he had no business driving driv-ing a car in his condition and they stopped him and took his car away from him, turningj him over to Marshal Wm. Morris. However, it is understood it was only a matter of 20 minutes or so until he was again in possession of the car. Except that Monday's accident had only near-fatal results, the case is a close counterpart of an accident of last summer in which a local C C C lad was killed in the wrecking of a car coming from Minersville. In both cases the drivers had been deprived of their cars because of drunkenness and in both instances the drivers appear to have been permitted to endanger their own lives and those of others before they were in any condition to resume use of their cars. The previous case evoked considerable con-siderable criticism, especially as to its disposition, and following-up procedure in this case will be observed ob-served with considerable interest. |
