He returned home Monday to rest for a few days before reporting for work. Mrs. Garnet Garfield entertained eight of her club members at her home Wednesday night. The evening eve-ning was spent in playing bridge, with Mrs. Lou Moore winning the point prize, Mrs. Florence Barnes the consolation, and Mrs. Kather-ine Kather-ine Shingleton, honors. After bridge, the tables were cleared and a delicious hot-plate lunch was served to Mrs. Ava Banks, Mrs. Lora Bradfield, Mrs. Lois Moore, Mrs. Flora Cuddy, Mre. "Wanda Holm. Mrs. Kate Shingleton, Mrs. Lou Moore and Mrs. Florence Barnes. Mr. William Ashworth returned to Milford Saturday after spending spend-ing 10 days in Salt Lake City, where he underwent a minor operation. oper-ation. Mrs. Alma Sly went to Salt Lake City last Monday, where she spent several days visiting reatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Barney Fothering-ham Fothering-ham announce the marriage of their daughter Betty to John H. Davis, son of Mr. George Davis. The wedding took place in Ely, Nev., on Tuesday. The young couple left Wednesday for San Francisco, where they will spend their honeymoon. They will make their home in Milford. Mrs. Alma Miller and children, Freddie and Joy, returned to Milford Mil-ford Saturday of last week, after spending 18 days in Lynndyl with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Alma Banks. Mrs. Phyllis Erickson went to Salt Lake City Tuesday, where she spent a few days visiting and attending at-tending to business. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Edwards of Manderfield spent Thursday and Friday in Milford visiting their children, Mr. and Mrs. Thurland Sly and son Russell. Mrs. Walter Carlton and children, chil-dren, Ellen, Norma and Mavanee, spent Sunday in Beaver visiting friends. Mrs. Wanda Holm returned to Milford Friday after spending a week in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Alma Sly entertained nine of her club members at her home Thursday night of last week. The evening was spent in playing pinochle, with Norma Edwards winning high prize, Noma Brad-shaw, Brad-shaw, second, and Roma Carlton, consolation. After cards, a dainty plate lunch was served to Maurene Miller, Gladys Bird, Vera Wate, Margaret Lund, Norma Edwards, Noma Bradshaw, Roma Carlton and Norma Aagard. |
