Show Desert Range Notes Selar S. Hutchings, assistant forest ecologist in charge at the Desert Range Experiment station, ana Perry Plummer, junior range examiner, returned from Ogden Monday morning. Mr. Hutchings had been at the Intermountain Forest and Range Experiment station sta-tion in Ogden writing reports, and Mr. Plummer had been away on a leave of absence. Both expr-essed pleasure at being back in Milford again. Ross D. Watson of Ogden, recent re-cent graduate of Utah State Agricultural Agri-cultural college, has received temporary appointment at the Desert Range Experiment station. He will be assigned to projects connected with the station, and will assist in mapping and establishing estab-lishing a number of new vegeta-tional vegeta-tional enclosures 1 throughout the state. Dr. R. S. Campell, United States forest service, Washington, D. C, in charge of the national utilization utiliza-tion studies, and J. Deloy Hansen, from the regional office, were visitors visi-tors at the Desert Range Experiment Experi-ment station Monday. The visitors visi-tors were shown the utilization studies conducted on this station, and were pleased with the result. Dr. Campbell expressed the desert range utilization studies as being one of the best setups in the United States. |
