Show o Six Milford Scouts Are Registered To GoTo Washington Five Milford Boy Scouts under the leadership of John Yack, Scoutmaster Scout-master of troop 324, are camped in Zion park this week as a preliminary prelimi-nary to the grand trek back to Washington, D. C, for the International Inter-national Scout Jamboree, postponed postpon-ed from two years ago. The five Milford iboys now in camp are Douglas Moore, Douglas Ryan, Thorpe Waddingham, George Connell and Richard Barnes. Jay Jeffers, another lad with longer experience as a Scout and with the necessary previous camping record, is properly registered for the trip and will accompany the other iboys but it was not necessary for him to get in the week's camping at Zion. Three Minersville Scouts are understood to ibe registered for the trip to Washington but none is registered from Beaver, according to last report. Decision to have Mr. Yack accompany ac-company the boys was reached at a meeting held Saturday night and the cost of his going will be defrayed de-frayed by the county as a whole. Mr. Yack has done a wonderful work with troop 324, the old original origi-nal Milford troop, of which he has been Scoutmaster for two years, and it is fitting that he should be chosen to accompany the iboys. |
