Show Class of 26 Given Their Diplomas By High School Beginning with the baccalaueate services Sunday evening and to finish fin-ish Friday with the receipt of annual an-nual report and credit cards, the week has been a momentous one for the l'J37 graduating class of the Milford high school 26 in number but has been thoroughly enjoyable to them and gratifying to parents, teachers and friends of the school, who feel that it has been one of the most successful years in the school's history. . Miss Lucile Estes, deaconess-pastor deaconess-pastor of the local M. E. church, gave the baccalaureate sermon as the principal part of the service Sunday night and it was enjoyed by everyone present, as was the entire program, which was brief but interest-holding. Other numbers num-bers on the program were as follows: fol-lows: Invocation by Bishop M. J. Chirstensen; selection by mixed quartet; vocal solo, J. M. Hughes; violin solo, Mrs. Macel Horton; benediction, Alfin H. Baker. Wednesday forenoon was award assembly, always an important feature fea-ture of closing week exercises, the award of activity .medals and scholarships schol-arships Ibeing announced at this time. The annual class program was given Wednesday afternoon, attended at-tended by quite a number of parents, par-ents, with the following program being given: Class song; class will, Vernon Beard; class history, Itha Patterson; vocal quartet, Ar-dith Ar-dith Bird, Daphne Fromm, Richard Hickman and James Angell; vocal and instrumental duet, Richard and Alma Thompson; talks by -class advisers. The graduation program Thursday Thurs-day evening is to be as follows: Selection, high school orchestra. Invocation, Vernon Beard. Salutatory, Vivian Golden. Piano solo, Virginia Baxter. Violin trio, Marie Carlson, Ardith Ar-dith Bird and Alma Thompson. Valedictory, John Clay. Mixed quartet, Ardith Bird, Daphne Fromm, Richard Hickman and James Angell. Presentation of graduates, Principal Prin-cipal E. R. Moody. Awarding of diplomas, Board President J. C. Smith. Address to graduates, Superintendent Superin-tendent S. M. Wittwer.
