Show DOINGSAT MILFORD HIGH SCHOOL Patriotic Program Given The following patriotic program was given Friday at the Milford high school in honor of the birth anniversary of George Washington: Washing-ton: Advance of Colors by Boy Scouts Bud Williams and Robert Clark. Contestants were Marilyn Carlson, Rae Bond, Lenora Bowen, Masuko Imai, Wal-lance Wal-lance Mastros and Kathleen Foth-eriiifham. Singing of Star-Spangled Banner Ban-ner by audience. Excellent School Spirit Shown Nearly a hundred Milford high school students journeyed to Beaver Bea-ver to support the basketball team in their game with Beaver, the girls pep squad adding a good deal of color and enthusiasm to the occasion. Our boys fought hard and played a great game though our opponents were able to ring in more baskets. Friday, March C, we play Beaver at Milford Mil-ford so be out to support our boys. Milford's motto is "We Never Turn Back!" Contest Day At Cedar City Saturday, April 11, has been set for high school day at Cedar City and the Beaver county high schools, under the direction of Superintendent S. M. Wittwer, are I making preparations to be in full attendance. All departments contesting con-testing will be well repreented. Arbor Day Project Being Promoted County Superintendent S. Melvin Mel-vin Wittwer is seeking cooperation coopera-tion between the schools and town board to make a really fine activity activi-ty and planting day of the coming Arbor day. Hundreds of trees will be shipped in to begin a tree- planting project for the improvement improve-ment of our communities. Already Milford is in the foreground, , backing Superintendent Wittwer I 100 in this most worthy project ' and we congratulate you, super-! super-! intendent, on furthering such a j worthy cause. Your leadership : has caused many fine movements for progress within Beaver coun-i coun-i ty during the past four years. Staff Room Improved The English department is to be ; complimented on the fine appearance appear-ance of the staff room where adequate ade-quate facilities have been set up for .-tudents' work in preparing the school paper. i |
