Show CHRISTIAN SCIENCE "Everlasting Punishment" is the subject of the lesson-sermon to be read by the Christian Science Society So-ciety in Milford Sunday, October 31. The Golden Text is: "Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, 0 Lord, and teachest him out of thy law" (Psalms 94: 12). Among the Biblical citations is the folio-wing: "Behold, he travail-eth travail-eth with iniquity, and hath conceived con-ceived mischief, and brought forth falshood. He made a pit, and digged it and is fallen Into the ditoh which he made" (Psalms 7: 14, 15). Correlative to the citation are the following from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Scrip-tures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "You must control evil thoughts in the first instance, or they will control you in the second (p. 234). The indulgence of evil motives and aims makes any man, who is above, the lowest type of manhood, a hopeless sufferer. Choke these errors in their early stages, if you would not cherish an army of conspirators con-spirators against health, happiness, happi-ness, and success" (p. 405). |
