The ticket to appear on the primed ballots, and also appearing in this number of The News as provided by ordinance, is that of the Progressive party and is as follows: For president of the town board, L. A. Wynauirht; for trustees, trus-tees, D. E. Kirk, L. B. Wadding-ham, Wadding-ham, Willis Whitbeek and Val Yep-sen. Yep-sen. The latter two are new candidates, can-didates, having been named by the Vacancy committee to take the ' places of George Litchfield, vet-1 eran member of the board, and Dr.; L. F. Kohler, originally named onl the petition, but who withdrew from the ticket. The Citizens' ticket, on which appeared the names of E. R. Moody for president and W. B.! Gardner, Rudolph Nielsen, F. L. ' Osborn and L. A. Sanford for trustees, was received by Towd . Clerk V. M. Burns Monday morn-i ing, October IS, by registered mail, accompanied by a proper petition pe-tition bearing some 64 names.! Saturday, October 16, had been: ruled as the last day for the filing j of such petitions in accordance with ordinance provisions, but, with the envelope containing the' petition showing a Saturday post-, mark, there was no disposition to throw the ticket out until a formal written protest was filed by H. M.j Hearn, incumbent president of the town board. Though only the one ticket will appear on the ballot, there is sure to be writing-in of candidates in' opposition to that ticket and Tues-1 day's election promises to lose nothing of its expected heat be-1 cause of the omission.
