Show Jay Jeffcrs came down from Salt Lake Sunday to attend the fjin-ral services of his friend and : :, i, o!. ate-, Phillip Carlisle. While here he enjoyed visiting with his nianv friemU. -Mr. and Mrs. John Dryden and Mr. and Mrs. Teddy Van Meter, their little daughter, and Alice Dryden, all of Altoona, Kansas, visited last week in South Milford at the home of Ed Dryden, whom they had not seen in 32 years. They also visited with Albert llerntsen and Bill McCoy. Mrs. Gene Kirk was hostess to her bridge club Tuesday night. Those present were Mrs. J. M. Williams, Wil-liams, Mrs. D. S. Williams, Mrs. J. C. Smith, Mrs. J. M. Hughes, Mrs. William Cot'hrane, Mrs. Fred, Levi and Mrs. Fred Jefferson. The club prize was won by Mrs. Smith, the house prize by Mrs. Hiighes and the consolation by Mrs. Levi. Mr. and Mrs. 0. C. Koch and daughter Rozetta returned Sunday from a two weeks vacation trip to Glacier National park and the northwest. Returning they enjoyed enjoy-ed a pleasant drive up the Columbia Colum-bia river and visited the Grand Coulee and Bonneville dam sites, also spending several days in Twin Falls with old friends and former neighbors. They encountered encount-ered no bad road except about 20 miles between Sacramento pass and the Utah line on highway 21. Likewise, they had no stormy weather wea-ther until they reached Connors pass and Wah Wah valley the last day. M , |
