Show Lightning Kills Minersville Man Thirlow Hollingshead, 25, a native na-tive of Minersville, was killed in an electric storm which struck that vicinity about 1 p.m. Sunday. Lightning which apparently struck him as he was riding his horse along an irrigation ditch near the Charles K. Jameson farm, also killed his horse and a cow 60 feet distant. His body was found about 4 p.m. toy Noel Wood, who was out riding with his father, William Wood. The elder Wood called Mr. Jameson, a deputy sheriff, ' and Bernard Jameson, the justice of peace, who decided Mr. Hollings-head Hollings-head had been killed by lightning. Mr. Hollingshead, employed by a welding company in Sacramento, California, had come to Minersville Miners-ville Friday for a visit with his parents, Stephen and Alta Hollingshead. Hol-lingshead. They, with the following follow-ing brothers and sisters survive: Malshall Hollingshead and Mrs. Reva Albredht of Washington, D. C; Clyde Hollingshead, Sacramento, Sacra-mento, California, and Rulon Hollingshead Hol-lingshead of Ely, Nevada. Funeral services were held Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon at the Minersville Miners-ville L. D. S. chapel. |
