CHR!Sfl.ANlC!ENCE "Mind" is the subject of the lesson-sermon at the Sunday service ser-vice of the Christian Science Society So-ciety in Milford August 25. The Golden Text is: "Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever; for wisdom and might are his: ... he givth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding" (Daniel 2. 20, 21). Among the Biblical citations are the following: "Great is our Lord, and of great power his understanding is infinite (Psalms 147: 5). There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee neither is there any rock like our God" (I Samuel 2: 2). Correlative to the citations is the following from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Scrip-tures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "We can have but one Mind, if that j one is infinite. We bury the sense of infinitude, when we admit that, although God is infinite, evil has a place in this infinity, for evil lean have no place, where all space 1 is filled with God. We lose the high signification of omnipotence, when .''after admitting, that God, or good, is omnipresent and has all-power, we still believe there is another power named evil" (p. 469). U |
