Show CHPJSTIANSCIENCE "Unreality" is the subject of ! lesson-sermon at the Sunday ser- I vice of the Christian Science So-j ciety in Milford April 7. The Golden Text is: "Truly in; vain is salvation hoped for from( the hills, and from the multitude of mountains: truly in the Lord cur God is the salvation of Israel" (Jeremiah 3:25). Among the Biblical selections are the following: "I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit. For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge in-creaseth in-creaseth sorrow (Efcclesiastes. 1: 14, 18). For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God" (I Corinthians 3:19). Correlative reading includes the following from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Scrip-tures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "How true it is that whatever is learned through material sense must be lost because such sc-call-' ed knowledge is reversed by the spiritual facts of being in Science. ' That which material sense calls! intangible, is found to be sub- j stance. What to material sense ! seems .substance, becomes noth-j j ingness, as the scense-dream van-; wishes and reality appears" (p. 312). |
