Show Outlook Is Good For Water Supply Outlook is bright for a normal nor-mal water supply the coming season sea-son for farms of the Milford area, it is announced by T. H. Humpherys, state engineer, upon receipt of reports of precipitation, snow coverage, and storage water for the area. The report was received re-ceived from H. K. Boyter of Beaver, Bea-ver, wateh commissioner and snow observer for this locality. Snow coverage in thai Beaver watershed is about 50 percent higher than at this time last year, and is only slightly below the long-time normal, the report shows. The Rocky Ford reservoir stored 10,130 acre-feet of water the past winter, compared with 1S.600 a year ago. It was necessary to completely drain the reservoir late , last summer in order to repair the! outlet gate, which made it neces-! sary to go into the winter season with no carry-over of water, unusual un-usual for this project. It is rising fast, however, with the big inflow expected in May, but is not ex-i pected to fill. W, i t h normal precipitation throug-h the runoff period, an 80 to 100 percent of normal water supply can be expected, Mr. Humpherys said. |
