Show SOUTH MILFORD Mrs. C. A. Rohn and baby daughter left Thursday for Claremont, California, Calif-ornia, where Mrs. Rohn will attnd her class reunion on Alumni day, June 17, at Pomona college. On Sunday, Sun-day, June 18, she will be present at the wedding of her cousin, Miss Madelyn Rowlands, in north Los Angeles An-geles and later will visit among relatives rel-atives and friends in Los Angeles and Hollywood. The Social Hour club met at the club house last Thursday afternoon with Mesdames Haskell and Gray as hostesses. The afternoon was sent with needlework and at iU close the hostesses served deliciously cooling refreshments at small tables. Mrs. Kim-sey of Seattle, Washington and Mrs. Wiley i new resident at the El-lingsworth El-lingsworth ranch, were guests of the club. The club members decided not to hold the next meeting until July 20, when plans will be completed for the annual Flower show. Messrs Arthur Williams, Lester Williams and Reuben Jones, accompanied ac-companied by their wives, went to j Beaver on Friday to attend the last hearing on land ownership before Federal Conciliator John F. Tolton. The ranchers held a called meeting at the club house on Saturday morning morn-ing to learn more details of the new government refinancing plan. County Agent Lew Mar Price and George Low were present to give counsel on these matters. Adjournment was taken to a later date. Miss Rosabelle Jones returned Thursday from a week's visit with friends in Beaver. Miss Beniti James of Black Rock was the over-night guest of Mrs. Addison Ad-dison Bybee on Monday. H. H. Maddren, production manager man-ager of The Republic Oil Co. Ltd., of Los Angeles and Seattle, visited at the W. C. Cates ranch on Tuesday, enroute by motor to Rawlins, Wyoming, Wyo-ming, Mr. Maddren praised highly the splendid road condition on the Arrowhead trail. A Father's day picinic was held on the beautiful lawn at the home'of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Weber last Sunday, Sun-day, the families celebrating included the George (Stanleys, Carl Elmers, J. G. Webers and Horace Palmers. |
