Show MINERSVILLE SCHOOL NOTES j The Assembly Last Friday we were entertained with a very good program given by the eighth graders in honor of St. Patricks Day. Mr. Isaacson first gave a talk on "Why we celebrate St. Patricks Pat-ricks Day." Bertha Carter then played play-ed a piano solo. Reva Hollingshead favored us with a reading of an Irish Philospher. Shirley Fotheringham gave a vocal solo, June Osborne a reading and the program was ended with a few members of the eighth grade singing "When Irish Eyes are Smiling." School Play Well! Well! Minersville high school has finally let other activities die down enough to start on their school play. The play has been chosen and the characters will be chosen and announced an-nounced soon. A Rumor There is a rumor among the students stu-dents that school is going to close. The reason is because Mr. Isaacson is using so much paper giving tests every day, that the school board refuses re-fuses to buy any more you see, Mr. i Isaacson has the idea that school can-j can-j not go on without tests! Helen Pry-or. Pry-or. Junior Promenade What, haven't you heard the latest? lat-est? Yes, Minersville is going to have a Junior Promenade, March 24. We all hope for it to be a huge success! There are twenty two Juniors and I the class adviser Mr. Isaacson, all j working together to put it off wuh a bang! j The decorating scheme that we are : working out is oh! why tell secrets'? j But if you want to get in on this sec-i sec-i ret just come to the Gymnasium, Fri-! Fri-! day March 24, tickets will be sold fo.-j fo.-j 50c couple and 15c extra ladies. Cjme j early and get your tickets. A jazzy j orchestra, lots of good ice-cream, and fun for everyone.
