Show STUDENTS' TEETH FOUNDTO BE BAD A decidedly unhealthy condition as regards the teeth of school children of Milford and Minersville is revealed through an examination and compilation compila-tion of results just completed by Dr. L. F. Kohler, Milford dentist, who made the examination without charge. In Minersville, out of a total of 2o 1 children examined, including all grade and high school students, there wer3 found only CO with teeth that were okeh from the dentists stand point, and in Milford out of 250 gra te school students examined, there were only 80 found with okeh teeth, hither to parents, detailing the defects were sent to parents of each child examined. examin-ed. Incidentally, the value of healtn suggestions and. instruction to students, stu-dents, by teachers and proper .health habits which may thus be encouraged by tactful work on the part of teachers, teach-ers, exemplified in unmi.stakablo manner by the results of the examination exam-ination of children in the 5th and Gth grades of the local school, taught by Dave Heslington, principal of ihi elementary ele-mentary school and athletic coacn out of 30 students in these two grades, 20 were found to have okeh teeth a percentage vastly to the credit of Mr. Heslington and his classes, since two out of three of his students are rated "okeh" while the average for the Mil- ford school as a whole is approxim-' approxim-' ately one with good teeth out of eaih three examined. The average at Minersville would be less than one . with okeh teeth out of each four examined. ex-amined. 1 Anril 9StK |
