Show SOUTH MILFORD Mrs. Rue Nielsen, county director of the U. S. A. C. extension division, met the Social Hour club Thursday afternoon at the club house. Her project pro-ject was rug making and tapestry upholstering. up-holstering. She displayed rugs of many varieties in the making to please various tastes and skill the tapestry work interested many of the large number present. It was a delightful de-lightful and interesting afternoon and imported ideas for brightening our homes. Mrs. Merrill Miller and Mrs. Beniti James of Black Rock and Mrs. Broyles and Mrs. Handley of Milford were guests of the club. There is little present activity except ex-cept bad weather and sloppy roads. Mrs. Addison Bybee spent three days of this week in Monrovia and Long Beach, California, visiting relatives re-latives and friends. County Agent Lew Mar Price is meeting the farmers Thursday afternoon, after-noon, March 23, at the club hour relative re-lative to planting acreage to test the possibilities of raising sugar beets in this section.
