Show OLD OPERA HOUSE PUT TO USE FOR HARD TIME DANCE The old opera house was put to use for the first time in several years with the Hard Time dance sponsored Saturday Sat-urday night by the M. I. A. Recently purchased by the organization organi-zation for a place of meetings and festivities, the opera house is proving itself excellent for the purpose. Decorated Dec-orated with cornstalks and pumpkins, the building was especially suited to the informal nature of the dance. Many of the guests appeared in costumes cos-tumes in keeping with the spirit of the affair and a good crowd was present. pre-sent. Cider was sold to the dancers by the gatherers of the Beehive girls and home-made candy by the Builders Build-ers Group. The Juniors Girls sold popcorn. Among the executive officers and members of the activity committee who had charge were: Kenneth Farns-worth, Farns-worth, Mrs. Orina Carlson, Mrs. Mary Fernley, Miss Grace Howes, Mrs. Naomi Hughes, Mrs. E. H. Bird, Mrs. Cora Jones, Lee Anderson, Vance Fisher, Mrs. Beryl Dean and Mrs. Bert Tait. Music was furnished by the Milford orchestra. |
