Show SOUTH UTAH HOLDS CIVIC CLUB DINNER AT PRICE SATURDAY Nine members of the board of directors di-rectors of the Associated Civic Clubs of Southern Utah, together with representatives re-presentatives of Civic clubs of Carbon Car-bon county, board of Commissioners and city officials were entertained at a dinner given Saturday evening by the Price chamber of commerce, says the the News-Advocate of that city. George Jefferson, of Miiford, and vice-president of the newly organized organi-zed association, was unable to attend at-tend the meeting at Price, and had arranged with the Beaver Lions club to send a representative. Ti.is they fail to do, and as a result Beaver Beav-er county was not represented at the meeting. The Advocate says: After introduction intro-duction of the local guests and directors of the Price chamber of commerce, the visitors were introduced intro-duced by Frank Martines, president of the association. Mr. Martines gave a brief outline of the history and aims of the organizations, declaring de-claring that its motives were to build up industries, increase markets mar-kets for local produce, advertise scenic attractions and improve roads. Ben J. Cameron of Pangu-tch, Pangu-tch, secretary, stated that over 10 0,-000 0,-000 people are represented in the ten counties associated - together and that united effort would result in many benefits for the counties. J. E. Bigelow, of St. George, a pioneer in the good road movement in Utah, emphasized the need of cooperation co-operation in opening up and im proving roads. He said that Utah was the storehouse for California, and that good highways would ultimately ulti-mately result in bigger markets for U' ?.' i products in California.
