Show WORK STARTS ON A. T. & T. BUILDING Local Labor to be Used Almost Entirely on Construction Work Ground was broken Monday for the erection of the new American Telegraph Tele-graph and Telephone Company building build-ing in Milford. This new structure will be located on the Milford-Frisco road at the edge of town. Four teams and about a dozen men have been put to work on the excavating and temporary temp-orary tool and work shops are being erected. Fullmer Bros., of Salt Lake City, have the contract for the construction work, with Eugene Wagstaff in charge of the work. The new building will be two stories, stor-ies, the first story includes the basement. base-ment. It will be 82x42, built of brick and re-inforced concrete, and most attractive at-tractive in appearance. This building will be used by the company as a "step-up" station for their new lines through this section of the state. Fornten Wagstaff stated that practically prac-tically all the labor would be secured locally, with the exception of a few skilled re-inforce concrete carpenters. It is expected it will take about threev months to complete the work, and the contractors plan to have the building ready to install machinery by November 1. A |
